Jason “ICE” Dimayuga recaps his Forza Underground debut fight against Edward Genodia last December 22 at the Forza Underground II at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena.
A year prior the 2018 Forza Underground Open Workout, ICE already had the mindset of one day competing in the biggest Student MMA League in the country. He watched cage side in the first Forza MMA battle at the Ynares Coliseum in Pasig last 2017. He recalls being so close to the cage he could almost smell the blood of the fighters that one day he would compete against.
Roughly a year later ICE came into the Forza Underground Open Workout with one thing in mind… to dominate. His skill not just bagged him a slot in the Forza Underground II, but for the student straw-weight title fight.
ICE Dimayuga was defeated via KO, seconds into the first round with multiple right hands by his opponent and now champion Edward Genodia from Universidad de Manila.
“ I got caught and though I don’t exactly agree with how it was handled, I’m a man of class and in MMA, a decision made is a decision made”- ICE said.
Dimayuga continues “The management and the true OGs of the game that know me know what I was going thru and carried with me en route to the fight, many if not all would make any man quit or back out. But I’m not one to make excuses so let’s keep those where they are.”
If ICE had been healthy, would the result have been different? I guess all we can do now is ponder.
ICE Dimayuga is now concentrating in school where he is heavy into art, traditional film, photography, and making music under his name “Saint ICE Rocks” as well as pursuing multiple business ventures outside Mix Martial Arts.
ICE has a lot on his plate now, with school, art, music, it is difficult to say if he will return and qualify for the Forza Underground Association. But if he does, it is safe to say he will be ready for any challenge.
Dimayuga ends his statement by saying that he is “Still the Whole Damn Show”
